FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Youth Project Managed by Romanian Youth and the World Genesis Foundation Publishes New Book
Rochester,
New York, USA - May 5, 2001
The World Genesis Foundation announced today the publication
of a new book inspired by learning contests at a UNESCO summer
academy. The contests were developed and led by Mihnea
Muraru-Mandrea, a Romanian youth, and included daily
competitions that challenged youth to use logic, reason,
creative problem solving and teamwork to solve difficult
challenges.
"It was such a pleasure to see how Mihnea was able to inspire and lead hundreds of youth in what became one of the most well-participated programs in the UNESCO program. Mihnea is a natural leader and we were also pleased to learn he will now be launching his own foundation, called the Romanian Association of Sports and Culture, to build even more and wider-reaching programs that benefit youth. Working with Mihnea and co-author Roxana Sava on this book project was an honor for me," said David Lewis Anderson, World Genesis Foundation President and CEO.
In the coming months the newly founded Romanian Association for Sports and Culture and the World Genesis Foundation will be meeting to develop strategies for greater cooperation in future UNESCO programs.
The World Genesis Foundation was founded on November 30, 1999 and is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization dedicated to a vision and mission to "leave no child without hope for the future." Headquartered in Santa Fe, NM USA, the foundation supports activities worldwide to create educational, scientific and cultural opportunities for youth with a special focus in areas of the world where these opportunities are limited or do not exist.
