FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Cygnus Scientific Society and World Genesis Foundation Partner to Launch New Robotics Education Programs
Rochester,
New York, USA - July 14, 2001
The World Genesis Foundation announced today plans to sponsor
the launch a major robotics education program in cooperation
with the Cygnus Scientific Society in Romania. The program
will introduce twenty (20) new robotic systems with the launch
occurring at UNESCO's Atlantykron Summer Academy held in
Romania this August.
"The World Genesis Foundation is pleased to support the vision of Dan Milici, director of the Cygnus Scientific Society. Dan's program uses robotics to inspire and educate youth in many areas of science and engineering. The launch of the project at this summer's program is just the beginning. The Cygnus Scientific Society then plans to integrate the new robotic systems into education programs for youth across Romania that will continue for years. We believe Dan's program will represent one of the largest robotics education programs in Romania and are pleased to be a part of his team," said David Lewis Anderson, President and CEO of the World Genesis Foundation.
In addition to robotics, this project will also introduce fuel cell technology to the young participants who will be working with instructors and each other to assemble an operating fuel-cell vehicle running only on sunlight and water and creating no pollution.
The World Genesis Foundation was founded on November 30, 1999 and is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization dedicated to a vision and mission to "leave no child without hope for the future." Headquartered in Santa Fe, NM USA, the foundation supports activities worldwide to create educational, scientific and cultural opportunities for youth with a special focus in areas of the world where these opportunities are limited or do not exist.
