FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
World Genesis Foundation Sponsors Participation of 20 Youth from Republic of Moldova in UNESCO Learning Academy
Rochester,
New York, USA - April 30, 2004
The World Genesis Foundation announced today it's plans to
sponsor the travel and participation of 20 youth from the
Republic of Moldova in a UNESCO Learning Academy.
"We are very pleased we can sponsor this international student participation for two reasons. First, it will provide an opportunity for the youth from the Republic of Moldova to participate in leading-edge educational programs being made available to all participants. Second, Romania is a country rich in young talent that will soon be put in the position of working in cross-cultural global teams. It is important that they develop their education, skills and experience in cultural awareness and understanding. This is only a first small step in our effort to continue to expand international participation, but a critical one that we plan to build upon in the coming years," said David Lewis Anderson, President and CEO of the World Genesis Foundation.
Several next steps of the World Genesis Foundation include the development of international relationships and participation of instructors and cultural experts from America, Germany, Thailand, Singapore and Japan to provide more cross-cultural training for youth as Romania prepares to enter the European Union.
The World Genesis Foundation was founded on November 30, 1999 and is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization dedicated to a vision and mission to "leave no child without hope for the future." Headquartered in Santa Fe, NM USA, the foundation supports activities worldwide to create educational, scientific and cultural opportunities for youth with a special focus in areas of the world where these opportunities are limited or do not exist.
