The World Genesis Foundation announced today the appointment of Mary Ann Martini of the Metropolitan Opera of New York City as Senior director of the organization.

"Many people don't realize that Mary Ann Martini is one of the key driving forces of the World Genesis Foundation. For many years she has been operating quietly in the background but her impact has been felt worldwide. Her contributions in networking, consulting, and contributions have enabled programs for thousands of youth that simply would never have happened without her involvement. Her support has enabled nearly one hundred new programs for youth across the sciences, arts, culture, humanities and international understanding that have been absolutely remarkable. We are fortunate to have her support and honored that she is stepping into a formal management role with the foundation," said David Lewis Anderson, President and CEO of the World Genesis Foundation.

In her new role Mary Ann Martini will be joining discussions with board members to discuss the future development and direction of the foundation.

The World Genesis Foundation was founded on November 30, 1999 and is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization dedicated to a vision and mission to "leave no child without hope for the future."  Headquartered in Santa Fe, NM USA, the foundation supports activities worldwide to create educational, scientific and cultural opportunities for youth with a special focus in areas of the world where these opportunities are limited or do not exist.
