FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
World Genesis Foundation and KOA Canandaigua Partner in Program for Youth and Families for Memorial Day Weekend
Rochester,
New York, USA - May 30, 2010
The World Genesis Foundation announced today the completion of
a special Memorial Day program for children and families, conducted in cooperation with the KOA Canandaigua Campground in
Canandaigua, New York. The event was led by Heather Caton, Senior Director
of the World Genesis Foundation.
"This special Memorial Day program provided a wonderful opportunity for children and families to join together during the holidays and test their knowledge of science, nature, movies, mathematics and the world. It is a wonderful and exciting program with music, multimedia and more where children and families can have a fun experience that is also educational," said David Lewis Anderson, President and CEO of the World Genesis Foundation. "What makes this program even more enjoyable is the opportunity to work with Victor and Kathy Arsenault, owners and managers of the KOA Campground in Canandaigua. They have done such a remarkable job to create such a wonderful and remarkable family experience at their campgrounds."
The World Genesis Foundation plans on supporting other educational and community events in the Rochester and Canandaigua, New York areas in the future.
KOA Canandaigua provides a remarkable camping experience near many local attractions. It is surrounded by rustic cabins and shade trees with a reflecting pond right in the center of the campground. The campground is convenient to many local attractions in the heart of Finger Lakes country with rolling hills, glacial lakes, miles of vineyards, good antiquing and flea markets, and hundreds of miles of bike and hiking trails on the Erie Canal, just 10 miles away.
The World Genesis Foundation was founded on November 30, 1999 and is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization dedicated to a vision and mission to "leave no child without hope for the future." Headquartered in Santa Fe, NM USA, the foundation supports activities worldwide to create educational, scientific and cultural opportunities for youth with a special focus in areas of the world where these opportunities are limited or do not exist.
