FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
World Genesis Foundation Joins KOA Canandaigua Project for Special 4th-of-July Program for Children and Families.
Rochester,
New York, USA - July 6, 2010
The World Genesis Foundation announced today its participation
in a special 4th-of-July holiday program for children and families,
managed by the KOA Canandaigua Campground in Canandaigua, New
York.
"It was such a pleasure to be a part of this special holiday program put together by Victor and Kathleen Arsenault, Owners and Managers of KOA Canandaigua. There were more than 600 participants at the campground participating in a wide range of educational, sporting, recreational and family events. It was a remarkable experience to watch and an honor to be part of the team. I cannot think of any better way for children and their families to spend the holidays," said Heather Caton, Senior Director of the World Genesis Foundation. "Victor and Kathleen's passion for creating a wonderful environment and opportunities for youth and families is both remarkable and far-reaching. Last year they also sponsored a special United Nations program for 500 youth in Romania and it was a pleasure for the World Genesis Foundation to join their program this year in New York."
While the World Genesis Foundation and KOA Canandaigua have no specific plans, they are exploring opportunities to work together again in the future.
KOA Canandaigua provides a remarkable camping experience near many local attractions. It is surrounded by rustic cabins and shade trees with a reflecting pond right in the center of the campground. The campground is convenient to many local attractions in the heart of Finger Lakes country with rolling hills, glacial lakes, miles of vineyards, good antiquing and flea markets, and hundreds of miles of bike and hiking trails on the Erie Canal, just 10 miles away.
The World Genesis Foundation was founded on November 30, 1999 and is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization dedicated to a vision and mission to "leave no child without hope for the future." Headquartered in Santa Fe, NM USA, the foundation supports activities worldwide to create educational, scientific and cultural opportunities for youth with a special focus in areas of the world where these opportunities are limited or do not exist.
