FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
World Genesis Foundation Provides Training Equipment Used By Youth Who Win International Astronomy Olympics
Rochester,
New York, USA - February 12, 2011
The World Genesis Foundation announced today that a team of
Romanian Youth won the International Olympics for Astronomy
and Astrophysics.
"We are very proud of these students for their hard work and dedications. What is also really special about this news, said World Genesis Foundation Vice-President Sorin Repanovici, is that many of the youth studied, learned and put into practice their skills in Astronomy and Astrophysics in educational programs managed by our foundation."
All of the youth trained and perfected their skills using Celestron NexStar SE astronomy telescopes donated by the World Genesis Foundation for use by youth at UNESCO programs and in schools throughout Romania.
The creation of new educational programs for youth in the sciences has been and will continue to be a focus of the foundation's efforts.
The World Genesis Foundation was founded on November 30, 1999 and is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization dedicated to a vision and mission to "leave no child without hope for the future." Headquartered in Santa Fe, NM USA, the foundation supports activities worldwide to create educational, scientific and cultural opportunities for youth with a special focus in areas of the world where these opportunities are limited or do not exist.
