The World Genesis Foundation expresses much gratitude to Deborah Koff-Chapin, Director of the Center for Touch Drawing. At this year Atlantykron Academy, held in Romania, a “Creative Awakening” took place, thanks to the generous donation and outreach from Deborah Koff-Chapin. The technique of Touch Drawing was integrated into the art program. With an instructional video in addition to a video of the personal history behind the discovery of Touch Drawing, this program sparked the interest of participants of every age.

“Touch Drawing is a simple yet profound process where the fingers take the place of pen or brush. Paper is placed over a freshly painted surface. Wherever it is touched, an imprint is made on the backside. Impulses from within take form on paper through the movement of the fingertips on the page.” Students practiced the methods using various materials, colors and even music to inspire. Using the Touch Drawing technique, students had the opportunity to discover, explore and create, with wonderful results. Deborah’s donation also included her unique SoulCards, used to facilitate discussion and inspiration.

The Touch Drawing class added a new dimension to the art program this year, participants had the chance to learn a new type of expression that they had never seen before,” said Heather Caton, Director of Education and Atlantykron volunteer, “We have so much gratitude for Deborah Koff-Chapin, the work she dose and lives she enriches through Touch Drawing, it is truly long lasting.”

The World Genesis Foundation was founded on November 30, 1999 and is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization dedicated to a vision and mission to "leave no child without hope for the future." Headquartered in Santa Fe, NM USA, the foundation supports activities worldwide to create educational, scientific and cultural opportunities for youth with a special focus in areas of the world where these opportunities are limited or do not exist.
