Camp Bambanani's mission is to inspire children and youth to be confident in their abilities to make healthy personal choices and a positive contribution to their communities.		  
The World Genesis Foundation sent materials for Camp Bambanani Arts program and the program was a wonderful success. They had 47 children/youth and a total of 10 staff. Youth used the art materials to design and create cards. Each child went home with a card for their loved ones, which was special as most children would not be able to do that or even buy cards. “We are thrilled to support a camp with a mission of creating hope and opportunity to youth,” said Heather Caton, president of World Genesis Foundation. “ The materials are a small thing, the smiles that came because of their creations and expressions, are amazing.”

Camp Bambanani is led by Naftaly Ngugi, one of the coordinators of the camp. Their mission is to inspire children and youth to be confident in their abilities to make healthy personal choices and a positive contribution to their communities by rekindling the spirit of joy, curiosity and creativity inherent in childhood, teaching and empowering, and fostering resilience and healthy coping skills. The camp was a huge success.

For the last eight years nearly 1200 children have benefited from the camp program. The mission and vision of Camp Bambanani has filtered through into the lives of the children who have been involved. There is an average of 3 week-long camps held during each financial year with a one day follow up for each camp. The World Genesis Foundation looks forward to continuing to support this great event.

The World Genesis Foundation is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization that was founded on November 30, 1999 and is dedicated to a vision and mission to "leave no child without hope for the future." Headquartered in Santa Fe, NM USA, the foundation supports activities worldwide to create educational, scientific and cultural opportunities for youth with a special focus in areas of the world where these opportunities are limited or do not exist.
