Dehradun India has been selected as the host for a youth
academy with the vision of creating an
international forum where students from the ages of 14 to 22
from around the world gather to participate and display
academic excellence, while building global solutions,
reflecting the missions of the United Nations and UNESCO
Center for Peace.
The visit to Dehradun brought new partnerships with Vikrant Chaudhary, Director of The Heritage School and Siddhartha Batta, Director of The Kasiga School. This academy will include 400 students form India and world wide who will participate in a 2 week program encompassing subjects such as STEM, culture, the arts, media and communication just to name a few. “ One of the highlights of the camp will be creating a platform for students to not only participate in projects but learning life skills such as leadership, project management and teamwork,” said Guy Djoken, Executive Director of UNESCO Center for Peace.
“It is wonderful for all of us to come together with a united mission of creating opportunity for youth,” said Heather Caton, President and CEO World Genesis Foundation. Brian K. Smith, President and Founder of EduSerc, Educators serving the Community, also joined the initiative to work in unison, bringing strengths together in a united goal of creating lasting impact, opportunity and peace, for our youth.
The World Genesis Foundation is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization that was founded on November 30, 1999 and is dedicated to a vision and mission to "leave no child without hope for the future."
