Atlantykron had a special virtual visiting guest for the 24th edition of Atlantykron Summer Academy. Guy Djoken, Chairman, U.S. National Commission for UNESCO Clubs, Centers and Associations and Executive Director of UNESCO Center for Peace, was a special virtual guest of the summer academy this year and shared a special message with the youth. This year theme was "Windows into the Future: Ferestre catre Viitor."

Atlantykron Summer Youth Academy held on an island on the Danube River near the village and ancient Roman ruins of Capidava in Romania. For 10 days each year, the island is transformed into a very advanced learning program with studies and hands-on practice with advanced and emerging technologies that cannot be found in even many universities across Eastern Europe. This year there was over 400 students, youth, parents, volunteers, teachers, actors, authors and experts in many fields. This year students participated in programs, workshops, and discussions in the areas of science, arts, communication, cultural awareness and various sports.

Guy Djoken said, “This year, it was revealing for me, to realize that even the I have only been involved in the academy for a couple years, the welcome I have experienced has left me feeling that I have been an intricate part for the past 24 years and I look forward to returning next year.” "It was great to connect with Guy this year, we look forward to him joining us for the 25th anniversary in 2014,” said Sorin Repanovici, Atlantykron coordinator and co-founder of World Genesis Foundation.
