“It was good to have Peter and Vanda at the academy this year, they brought very interesting information to the youth and all at attended. I know it sparked interest in many to pursue the sacred sites of Romania, “said Sorin Repanovici, coordinator of Atlantykron and Co-Founder of World Genesis Foundation. Atlantykron UNESCO Summer Academy for Learning is takes place on an island, wild most of the year, in the middle of the Danube near the village and the ancient ruins of Capidava, Romania. This island turns into a special academy for ten days every summer. Youth, parents, teachers, actors, writers, scientists, artist and other professionals from around the world visit the island to participate in discussions, workshops and activities. In these ten days, young people meet, discuss and learn together truly unique experience.
Peter Moon, author and researcher has been attending the academy for 6 years. He has pursued remarkable mysteries beneath the Romanian Sphinx in the Bucegi Mountains which have been published in “Transylvania Sunrise” “Transylvania Moonrise” “Mystery Of Egypt: The First Tunnel” and “The Secret Parchment: Five Tibetan Initiation Techniques.” by Radu Cinamar and edited by Peter. Vanda Osmon is a sacred site historian, global researcher and is a co-founder of Quest for Atlantis on Bimini, as well as the creator of Joy Travel. Vanda Osmon joined Peter Moon in the discussion of Scared Sites and brought a wonderful presence to the island and everyone she meet.”It was and honor and a Joy to be at Atlantykron Academy 2013. The Island is a magical place of energy and the staff, teachers and the global attendees were amazing. I love this year Theme “Window into the Future”. The Academy and all that is does embodies the words in Whitney Houston song the "Greatest Love of All"… I believe the children are our future. Teach them well and let them lead the way. Show them all the beauty they possess inside. The most precious sacred site is our loving heart. ” said Vanda.
Not only has he facilitated discussions during his years at the academy, he is also teaches Qigong, literally "Life Energy Cultivation, in a daily workshop. Qigong is a practice of aligning breath, movement, and awareness for exercise, healing, and meditation. With roots in Chinese medicine, martial arts, and philosophy. Typically a qigong practice involves rhythmic breathing coordinated with slow stylized repetition of fluid movement, a calm mindful state, and visualization of guiding qi through the body. “Contributing to the Atlantykron program sponsored by the World Genesis Foundation has been one of the most rewarding, life-embracing and fun activities I have ever been a part of. I have been there for six years in a row and I hope that I can contribute forever. Beyond the obvious cultural exchange - which goes both ways - I have made many friends that will last a life time and perhaps beyond. I do not think there is any other program quite like it,” said Peter Moon
