Partners of World Genesis Foundation Join with Experts from Five Continents to Judge Youth Worldwide Multimedia Contest

This competition also needed a judging panel. We searched around the world and had thirteen wonderful volunteers join this project. Maryann Martini, Senior Director of Communication for World Genesis Foundation joined the panel and said, “I speak for myself, but I think others would agree that the participation in judging this essay contest was an education for the judges, as well! It was truly an enriching and endearing experience.
It was amazing to see that even within the global diversity that these young spirits represented, one takes away the profound realization when reading and witnessing their inner thoughts and creative projects that we are, indeed, one global family…. and this is the universal family that we are raising ~ in hope and in strength. I thought this quote by Rilke sort of summed up this experience: “
….A wonderful living side- by-side can grow, if they succeed in loving the distance between them which makes it possible for each to see the other whole against the sky.” ~ Rainer Maria Rilke
In addition to Maryann Martini, Ed Belbruno and Florin Munteanu both long time World Genesis Foundation supporters. “We are so grateful for these amazing volunteers giving their time over the next month to be involved as a judge in this competition, we could not do it without them,” said Heather Caton, President of World Genesis Foundation.
We hope to have as many of the judges present at the 34th World Federation of UNESCO Clubs, Centers & Associations (WFUCA) Executive Board Meeting and accompanying International Conference that will be hosted by USFUCA this March in New York City from the 7th until to 12th. The top 10 winners in the 2014 Worldwide UNESCO Club Youth Multimedia Competition will be recognized in a special ceremony to be held on March 8th 2014 during the commemoration of the, The Future We Want, International Day for Women with a Conference titled “Critical Role of Women in the Implementation of Social Justice and Global Ethics.
The World Genesis Foundation is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization that was founded on November 30, 1999 and is dedicated to a vision and mission to "leave no child without hope for the future." Headquartered in Santa Fe, NM USA, the foundation supports activities worldwide to create educational, scientific and cultural opportunities for youth with a special focus in areas of the world where these opportunities are limited or do not exist.
