USFUCA asked youth to share their voice and answer the question: “If you could do one thing to change the world, what would it be? Why and How? The response was amazing. From essays to videos, art work, photography and presentations, we had over 470 applications come in from 70 countries around the world. Youth shared their thoughts, ideas and plans for being a positive change maker in our world.
Heather Caton MSW coordinated the competition and worked with an amazing team from USFUCA, in addition to the World Genesis Foundation’s JumpStart Program and a worldwide panel of judges. “Everyone, including the participants is what made this such a success,” said Heather Caton. One of the top winners, Swaraj Priyadarshi, project entitled, “Go Ahead, is offering them resources, platforms and primarily, books, to LEARN, GROW and GO AHEAD! Go Ahead operates on one simple and astounding fact – being read to as a youngster is the foremost predictor of academic success. Success begins with reading.
