Youth are Challenged to Present Their Ideas for "The Future of Education" in New Worldwide Youth Essay Competition
Santa
Fe, New Mexico, USA - April 3, 2014
World Genesis Foundation Headquarters
Creating new opportunity for youth is our mission and it’s what we love to be involved in. World Genesis Foundation has partnered with UNESCO Center for Peace in a project that will involve two summer camps. First is the Atlantykron Summer Academy of Learning held in Capidava Romania, celebrating their 25th anniversary, and coordinated by Sorin Repanovici. Second is the IMUN Summer Camp held in the USA in Fredrick Maryland and run by Guy Djoken, president of UNESCO Center for Peace and Lola Bokini, IMUN Director.
The topic of education is in constant discussion. We all agree that education is the key but there are some big questions to answer as we look into the future such as: What will education look like in the future? What are the important skills for future generations? How does our fast changing world effect education? How does technology effect education, in its delivery and in its depth? What issues and questions do we now face with new education? Heather Caton MSW, President of World Genesis Foundation and the JumpStart program will coordinate the competition along with a worldwide panel of judges.
We wanted to ask youth the question, “What will education in the future be like? What changes would you make? Why and how would you change it?” We are inviting youth around the world between the ages of 15-24 to share their voice and write an essay to answer this question. The contest launched April 3, 2014 and will run through May 31, 2014.
The World Genesis Foundation is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization that was founded on November 30, 1999 and is dedicated to a vision and mission to "leave no child without hope for the future." Headquartered in Santa Fe, NM USA, the foundation supports activities worldwide to create educational, scientific and cultural opportunities for youth with a special focus in areas of the world where these opportunities are limited or do not exist.
