Mary Ann had such an amazing background and experience in music encompasses classical and operatic. She also had a passion for world music with a special fascination devoted to the field of indigenous musical instruments as well as the healing properties of sound frequencies. She spent Metropolitan Opera in New York City, USA. Mary Ann worked in the Artistic Department of the Metropolitan Opera as a personal assistant to Music Director James Levine since 1989. In addition, she also offers support to the executive and managerial staffs, assisting to oversee the daily creative rigors of operating an international repertory opera house in the heart of New York City. By setting up in parking lots, malls, Emergency Operations Centers, parks and even at home, amateur operators learn skills that will allow them to better serve their communities. Setting up in these public venues gives added public relations value their friends and neighbors can see and experience the fun and public service capability that their ham radio neighbors bring to the community.
She dedicated her time to helping others always, though the foundation, in hospice care and sharing time with her loved ones. She was a delightful spirit and we will remember her always and keep her light close in all we do.
Established on November 30, 1999, the World Genesis Foundation is a recognized 501c3 non-profit organization committed to “leaving no child without hope for the future.” Headquartered in Santa Fe, NM USA, the foundation operates globally to empower youth with educational, scientific, and cultural possibilities where such opportunities are limited or non-existent.
